Evenings swallowed by meetings, weekends a precious, non-negotiable sanctuary for rest. "Will yoga really work for a life this packed? And group classes? Forget it." These were my iron-clad excuses—a self-convinced argument I carried right up to December 2024. The irony? I was convinced my kids needed it. So, I became the chauffeur, the waiting-room dad, the guy whose only commitment was to the great coffee downstairs while they practiced at Amrutha Bindu Yoga.

Then came the inevitable twist. Fast forward sixteen months to March 2026. The coffee-sipping spectator is gone. I am now deep into my own practice with Sandeep sir—one and a half years of dedicated stretch exercises, pranayama, and meditation. It’s been an absolute transformation, and the key is the partnership. With Sandeep, it’s always a team effort; we customise the practice to my life, not the other way around. I'm genuinely proud of what we’ve built together.

The results aren't abstract; they're visceral. My body feels lighter, movements are fluid, and stretching—both the physical kind on the mat and the mental kind in my packed schedule—is undeniably easier. I've gained a new, profound awareness of what it means to truly engage every part of my body. This is the difference Sandeep sir’s teaching has made.

It all circles back to a powerful lesson from a recent session: The very things we dismiss as "routine" or "boring" are the foundational elements that truly build us. It’s in the consistency, not the spectacle.

So, am I still busy? Absolutely. Do I still take evening calls? Yes. Do I adjust my schedule? I certainly do! The difference is, now I adjust it for the practice, not around it. We manage to complete our scheduled classes every month (well, mostly!), and it still works.

A huge thanks to Lakshmi for being my rock in keeping the schedule straight, and to the entire ABY team. They helped me believe in the process—a process that guarantees results.
