Special class

Aerial Yoga
Beginner friendly | Anti-gravity yoga with a hammock and lots of fun
Explore Movement, find stillness and float free. Our Aerial Yoga classes help you take your practice off the ground and into the air on a soft hammock. Led by Prajna, this practice weaves traditional yoga postures with elements of suspension, strength training, and deep relaxation. The hammock becomes your partner — supporting your body, easing pressure from joints, and offering a sense of lightness.
Duration: 60 mins
Timings:
Sat: 9.30 - 10.30 am
Why do aerial yoga?
Decompress your spine
Hanging gently in the hammock allows gravity to create space between your vertebrae, relieving built-up tension from daily stress and sedentary habits.
Improve mobility and strength
You’ll explore a fuller range of motion and engage muscles in new ways — especially the core, shoulders, and back.
Build confidence
Trying something new in the air builds not only strength, but also a playful sense of courage.
Restore your nervous system
The rhythmic sway of the hammock calms the nervous system. Inversions can lift your mood and bring fresh blood flow to the brain
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be flexible or strong to try this? Not at all. Aerial Yoga is adaptable and inclusive. You’ll be guided safely with variations to suit your level. What should I wear? Fitted clothing that covers underarms and knees is ideal — like leggings and a snug t-shirt or tank. Avoid zippers, buttons, or jewellry that could catch on the fabric. Is it safe? Yes, when practiced under the guidance of a trained teacher. The hammocks are professionally rigged and weight-tested. We maintain strict safety standards at Amrutha Bindu Yoga. Can men join too? Absolutely. This practice is for everybody. Flexibility and strength are developed with regular practice — not a prerequisite. Is it all about hanging upside down? Not at all. Inversions are one aspect, but much of the class is about supported stretches, mindful movement, and connecting breath with flow.

Our Teachers
Frequently Asked Questions
What style of yoga do you teach?
Amrutha Bindu Yoga is a Hatha Yoga school, in the Bihar School of Yoga tradition. This course is primarily based on this. Elements of Raja Yoga, Asana using Props and Karma Yoga are included as well.
What should I bring to yoga class?
You will need a yoga mat, a cotton towel and maybe a water bottle. Wear comfortable clothes, preferably
cotton, to help you move easily between asanas. For suggestions on buying a mat, see this blog.
I have a health condition. Can I still do regular classes?
This depends on the severity and extent of your condition. Please talk to our teachers before the class so that they may able to recommend a line of practice that works for you!
Im not flexible. Can I still join?
There is no assumed level of fitness required for the yoga classes. You do not need to be active, fit or flexible to
start. You will soon notice changes in your body when you practice regularly.
How many people are there in each class?
Our classes typically have 8-12 students. We close the batch once we receive 15 sign-ups since we like to give each student a personalised experience and help them learn at theirown pace.
What if I'm unable to attend all classes? Is there an extension?
Yes, you may extend the validity of your package, with prior notice, subject to our policies. However, please note that there are no extensions for monthly subscription.
