About the event
This Valentine’s Day, we’re offering a practice that steps away from stimulation and spectacle, and into a slower, quieter kind of practice. Candlelight Yoga is an immersive session designed to refine focus, calm the nervous system, and deepen bodily awareness through low-light practice.
Practising asana in candlelight reduces visual dominance and naturally sharpens proprioception, the body’s ability to sense position, balance, and movement from within. Without strong external cues, you begin to listen more closely to internal signals: weight distribution, muscular engagement, breath rhythm, and subtle shifts in attention. The sequence is os built to support clarity rather than exertion.
Trāṭaka, the classical practice of steady candle-gazing, follows the asana practice. It is a simple yet powerful tool for cultivating concentration and mental steadiness.
