“ After you have experienced it, even just once, you will realize that you have been doing only half of the asana practice.”
- Bernie Clark.

Most of us begin our yoga practice with what is most tangible: our body. As we become physically healthy and less distracted with the body, we become interested in that which is lesser known.

Most forms of yoga today are dynamic, active practices designed to work half the body, the muscular half, the "yang" tissues. Yin yoga allows us to work the other half, the deeper "yin" tissue of our ligaments, joints, deep fascia networks and ever our bones, promoting flexibility and mobility.

Yin Yoga combines the influences of Indian Yoga with Chinese Taoism to promote healing on many levels with an emphasis on long-held, passive stretches. Tune in to the internal, non-conceptual, softer aspects of your nature - Join us to learn the ancient art of deep listening.

"As is your desire, so is your will. As is your will so is your deed. As is your deed so is your destiny" - The Upanisads

We often work towards goals that are small, near-sighted and immediate without knowing it. Usually, we follow goals such as acquiring wealth, becoming slim and healthy, starting a personal business, etc. in order to be happy. But when these small goals are aligned with a theme of life or Sankalpa, our life noticeably becomes clear, harmonious and productive. Whatever the goals are in your life, it has to lead you towards your Sankalpa. Different goals have different conclusions and without a Sankalpa, goals work individually without complementing each other.

A Sankalpa is a...

During Winter season, our body and mind become tamasic (dull and heavy). We have a tendency to be lethargic and morose as our metabolism drops.

As spring approaches, the Sun starts to take over. Ratha Saptami is celebrated as the day that the Sun guides us from darkness (tamas) to light (sattwa). On this day, we invoke the Sun in us through the practice of Suryanamaskara. The Sun responsible for our good health, vitality, and nourishment and the practice of Suryanamaskara helps us tap into solar energy present in us.

Let us pay gratitude to our life source by the 108 rounds of Suryanamaskara on the occasion of Ratha Saptami
