Most of us begin our yoga practice with what is most tangible: our body. As we become physically healthy and less distracted with the body, we become interested in that which is lesser known.
Most forms of yoga today are dynamic, active practices designed to work half the body, the muscular half, the “yang” tissues. Yin yoga allows us to work the other half, the deeper “yin” tissue of our ligaments, joints, deep fascia networks and ever our bones, promoting flexibility and mobility.
Yin Yoga combines the influences of Indian Yoga with Chinese Taoism to promote healing on many levels with an emphasis on long-held, passive stretches. Tune in to the internal, non-conceptual, softer aspects of your nature – Join us to learn the ancient art of deep listening.
